Comments

We have decided to disallow Anonymous Comments to our blog. We are tired of people hiding behind "Anonymous" to make hurtful and lame comments on something they obviously don't understand. If you want to make a comment you will have to step up to the plate and tell us who you are. We let you know how we are feeling and you know who we are. If you want to know why we are doing this, please read this lovely comment from Anonymous...

After having read your blogs, and the manner in which you refer to your new daughter, I am appauled at your attitude!! Just because you were neglected and ignored as a child does not give you license to ruin a life: especially that of your new daughter!! I know, I know you will hide behind the thin veneer of sarcasm to defend and rationalize your inappropriate attitude toward Tenley. What does Jeff think about your "cutting" ways, or have you "cut" his off years ago. He must surely have learned by now to go with the flow, and not to argue with you, for your Borderline tendencies surely surface with rage, chastizement and dismissiveness. Oh, and by the way Tenley is not a monkey!

Clearly this person is totally deranged and unbalanced. The post he/she left this on was written by me (Jeff) and was in the most random place way back in July. The only reason we know about it is that I had all comments emailed to me. If they had bothered to read all of our posts they would know that Tenley is indeed a Monkey as she was born in the year of the Monkey just like her Father. They would also know that we love her more than anything in the world and would never let anything bad happen to her.

While any of you who know me personally know that I enjoy angering people and love watching them implode over the littlest things, since these comments were anonymous I couldn't have any fun with them at all. How boring. This just reinforces my belief that the general public at large are the biggest bunch of uneducated morons on the planet.

I am appalled that anyone would write something like that on another person's blog. I have to agree with Jeff, this person clearly has serious problems, not the least of which are a lack of perception and sense of humor! And just for the record Michelle was neither neglected or ignored as a child, nor does she in any way neglect or ignore Tenley. She is a wonderful Mother!
I certainly hope that the person who wrote this is not a parent, people like that should not be allowed to reproduce!

Oh my goodness! I'm soooo sorry you have put up such with ignorance. There is nothing wrong with playful names for your child. It's obvious that you love your daughter, and that you have fun with your love for her. Any child would be so lucky to have you as parents!

I am so disheartened to see this on your blog. We, too, were attacked verbally on our blog - unfortunately, there are those out there who would rather cast stones and make their own assumptions rather than ask questions and educate themselves. I enjoy your blog and appreciate your candor and forthrightness in sharing your parenting adventures.

Keep up the great parenting!!

I can't believe that someone would have the guts to do such a horrible thing and write that post. I saw some other "comments" too not just on your blog but on others that are rude. I'm going to change my feature too. Wow it is disgusting!

The only people who suck more than mean people are mean people who post under the cowardly title of "Anonymous".

Oh my!! That person is a total moron!!! Obviously they didn't read all of you blog or they wouldn't have made such comments. For the record, knowing Jeff and Michelle I would have them watch my babies any time! Also knowing Michelle's Mum.....I can most surely say she had the greatest childhood ever!!!! Stupid people, they have no clue, it's scary to think they are walking among us!!!!

I am sorry that you had to go through this. The same thing happened to me but my "anonymous" uses fake names to post. I love your blog and I want to thank you for sharing your story. As my Dad used to say..."Don't let the b*stards get you down"

I'm with the rest of the group that has posted here. It takes such a weak person to hide behind "anonymous". I love reading your blog and look forward to continuing to follow along.

i am not saying what the previos persons response was ggd what i am saying is a lot of people put negative views on adopting from china like american should'nt take these children from ther roots, that we are adopting to make a statement,(what statement i don't know),that we are not think about there future, that society as a whole is not excepying of asia children . i personally think it all crap!!. my husband and i are in the process of adopting from china . we are a biracial couple and it does'nt matter whether you are black ,white ,green purple/these girl are our daughters and we love them. should we turn our head leave them in china with no life no hope . what i read you sound like a wonderful mother with a SPIRITED!! ha ha presonality. the problem is people think everyone should fit a certain mold, and anyone who doesn't fit there has to be something wrong with you .

to those people GET A LIFE i am going to tell you like i tell my children ... IF YOU DON'T HAVE SOMETHING NICE TO SAY KEEP QUIET
people have a right to live there life without being JUDGED!!!!

to the parent of Tenley good luck E-mail back smr06195@yahoo.com
